The goal of this project was to create an ad campaign for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to raise awareness about mental health, with the primary focus on de-stigmatizing mental health issues and promoting a message of understanding and support. The campaign is intended to match NAMI’s current branding.

This campaign features famous people who’ve openly shared their struggles, showing that mental health challenges can affect anyone. Each of these role models are paired with a word that contradicts what they are known for, but is often associated with the stigma around mental health. The goal is to humanize mental health, emphasizing that it’s okay to seek help and that everyone, regardless of fame, can face these challenges.

The project was successful at its goal of creating a campaign that fights the stigma around mental health in a lighthearted, positive tone. Using these role models’ stories not only reduces stigma but also creates a strong platform for understanding and empathy.
